# UOVA concepts

The ideas behind UOVA in three short pages: how Build and Studio relate, how accounts and projects work, and a glossary of every term you meet.

UOVA is two products on one account. **Build** turns a description or a template into a website you edit and publish. **Studio** makes images, video and audio. Both spend the same credits, and both sit behind the same sign-in.

## Read in this order

- [Build and Studio](https://www.uova.com/help/getting-started/concepts/build-and-studio): What each half does, what it costs and how they share an account and credits.
- [Accounts, sites and projects](https://www.uova.com/help/getting-started/concepts/accounts-and-projects): What an account owns, why there are no teams yet and what each plan changes.
- [Glossary](https://www.uova.com/help/getting-started/concepts/glossary): One-sentence definitions of credit, project, Inspector, quote, DNS and more.

New to UOVA? The [Quickstart](https://www.uova.com/help/getting-started/quickstart) takes you from sign-up to a published site and a first image. If something here does not answer your question, see [Help & Support](https://www.uova.com/help/getting-started/help-and-support).

## Three facts that explain most questions

- Credits are one pool. The site generator, the editor's AI chat, Studio images and video, upscaling and background removal all draw from it. See [How credits work](https://www.uova.com/help/billing/credits).
- A site has two copies. The editor holds your working draft, and the live site shows the snapshot from your last publish. Edits go live only when you select **Update**. See [Versions and republishing](https://www.uova.com/help/build/publish/versions-and-republishing).
- Every model is available on every plan, and so is every template. The things that depend on your plan are the size of the credit pool, connecting a custom domain and removing the Made in UOVA badge.
