# Terms of service

A plain-language summary of UOVA's Terms of Service: who runs UOVA, who can use it, who owns what you make, how plans renew, and which sections to read in full.

> **Summary only:** This page summarises the Terms of Service as last checked on 2026-10-10. It is not legal advice and does not replace the full text. Read the full text at [/legal/terms](https://www.uova.com/legal/terms), which shows its own last-updated date.

## Who you are dealing with

UOVA is run by Uova Global Corp., a corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act based in Toronto, Ontario. Section 18 says the Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.

## Who can use UOVA

- You must be at least 18. The service is not directed to children under 13 (16 in the European Economic Area).
- One account per person, unless UOVA agrees in writing.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account. Sharing your login does not create a separate account for the other person.

## What you make and who owns it

- You keep ownership of your content, including AI-generated output. You give UOVA a licence to use it to run and improve the service. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backup copies or where the law requires.
- You may use AI-generated content made through your account commercially, including on websites, in marketing and on social media. UOVA makes no representations about its copyright status, and outputs are not guaranteed unique.
- You are responsible for reviewing AI output and labelling it where the law requires.

## What you may not do

Section 5 and the [Acceptable Use Policy](https://www.uova.com/legal/acceptable-use) prohibit unlawful or abusive content, infringement, malware, spam, phishing, impersonation and deepfakes. UOVA reserves the right to monitor AI prompts and outputs to prevent misuse.

## Templates and hosting

- Templates are licensed, not sold. You may customise and publish them, but not resell them unmodified or as competing template products.
- Published sites run on infrastructure powered by Vercel and Cloudflare, and UOVA does not guarantee uninterrupted access.
- UOVA may reclaim uova.io subdomain names that are inactive, infringing, misleading or in breach of the acceptable use policy.

## Plans, renewal and cancelling

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually, and renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel online from Billing in your account settings, or by emailing billing@uova.com. Cancelling stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the paid period, and you keep paid features until then. No call, chat or retention step is required. UOVA gives at least 30 days' notice of a price increase. See [Subscribe, change plan or cancel](https://www.uova.com/help/billing/manage-subscription) and the [Refund policy](https://www.uova.com/help/legal/refund-policy).
