In 1987, Marcus Ember Sr. built his first smoker out of a converted oil drum in the backyard of his Houston home. The sauces he made — from recipes his grandmother brought from the Carolinas — became legendary in the neighborhood.
Neighbors would bring their own bottles to fill. Friends would drive across town. The sauce was never for sale — it was just something you shared when you gathered around the fire.
In 2022, Marcus III decided it was time to bottle what his family had been perfecting for three generations. Ember Provisions was born — not to scale a business, but to share something real.
