Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities that are prohibited on the UOVA platform. It applies to everyone who uses the Service, including account holders, team members, visitors, anonymous users, merchants, and the websites, stores, AI generations, and communications created or sent through the Service. This AUP supplements and is incorporated into the Terms of Service; capitalized terms have the meaning given there.

We may update this AUP at any time. If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, please notify us at abuse@uova.io. We may investigate and take any action we deem appropriate, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, disabling stores, and reporting to law enforcement.

Prohibited Content and Conduct

You may not use the Service to create, upload, publish, generate, host, transmit, store, or link to any content, or engage in any conduct, that:

• Is unlawful, or promotes, facilitates, or provides instructions for illegal activity.
• Is defamatory, libelous, fraudulent, deceptive, or intentionally misleading.
• Depicts, promotes, or facilitates child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any sexual content involving minors — which we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities.
• Is pornographic or sexually explicit where prohibited, or that constitutes non-consensual intimate imagery.
• Harasses, bullies, threatens, defames, or intimidates any person, or incites or promotes violence, self-harm, terrorism, or harm to others.
• Promotes hatred, discrimination, or violence against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or any other protected characteristic.
• Infringes or misappropriates any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, right of publicity, or other intellectual-property or proprietary right.
• Violates the privacy or data-protection rights of any person, including publishing others' personal information without authorization (doxxing).
• Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation with a person or entity, including through deceptive brand names, logos, or lookalike domains.
• Constitutes spam, chain letters, pyramid or Ponzi schemes, or other unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or solicitation.
• Contains or distributes malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious or harmful code, or facilitates phishing, credential theft, or other deceptive practices.
• Is designed to deceive, defraud, or scam users, including fake stores, fake giveaways, investment scams, or counterfeit-goods storefronts.

Platform, Security, and Network Abuse

You may not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, to other users' accounts, content, or data, or to any systems or networks connected to the Service.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or breach any security or authentication measures, except under our Responsible Disclosure policy.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place an undue burden on the Service or its infrastructure, including through denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, floods, or resource-exhaustion techniques.
• Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with rate limits, usage limits, quotas, spend caps, security features, or access controls.
• Use bots, scrapers, crawlers, or other automated means to access, copy, or harvest the Service or its data except as expressly permitted.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service, or attempt to derive source code, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or access to it without our prior written authorization.
• Use the Service to mine cryptocurrency or run unrelated compute workloads.

AI Studio Use

When using AI generation features, you may not attempt to generate, and may not use the Service to create or distribute, content that:

• Depicts real, identifiable individuals without their consent, or that constitutes a deceptive deepfake, voice clone, or synthetic likeness used to deceive, defraud, defame, or harass.
• Generates sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, or other CSAM.
• Produces instructions or facilitation for weapons, explosives, dangerous chemical or biological agents, drug synthesis, or other serious physical harm.
• Is intended to deceive voters, interfere with elections, or spread disinformation misrepresented as authentic.
• Attempts to bypass, jailbreak, or manipulate the safety systems of our AI providers, or to extract another party's proprietary data or models.

Where required by law, you must clearly disclose that content is AI-generated. You are responsible for reviewing all AI outputs before use and for ensuring they are lawful and non-infringing.

Commerce and Storefronts

If you operate a store or accept payments through the Service, you must also comply with the Merchant & Seller Agreement, including its restricted- and prohibited-products list. You may not sell, offer, or facilitate the sale of illegal, counterfeit, stolen, recalled, hazardous, regulated, or otherwise prohibited goods or services, or use the Service to launder money, evade sanctions, or process payments for prohibited businesses.

Email and Messaging

If you send email or other messages using the Service (including marketing, newsletters, transactional, or cart-recovery messages), you must comply with all applicable anti-spam and communications laws, including the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act, Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), and the ePrivacy rules and GDPR in the EEA/UK. You must have a lawful basis or consent to contact recipients, honor opt-outs promptly, include a functioning unsubscribe mechanism and accurate sender identification and postal address in commercial messages, and not send deceptive headers or subject lines. You are solely responsible for your recipient lists and message content.

Reporting and Enforcement

To report a violation of this AUP, email abuse@uova.io (or copyright@uova.io for intellectual-property complaints). We may, at our sole discretion and with or without notice, investigate suspected violations, remove or disable access to content or stores, suspend or terminate accounts, preserve and disclose information as permitted or required by law, and cooperate with law-enforcement or regulatory authorities. Nothing in this AUP requires us to monitor content, but we reserve the right to do so.
