Your sites and projects
Find, open, duplicate and delete your sites in the Websites list, learn what a draft site and a live site can do, and protect a live site with a password.
For the complete documentation index, see llms.txt. This page is also available as Markdown.
The Websites page is the home of the dashboard. It lists every site on your account, live and draft. UOVA has no separate Projects page: the older Projects address redirects here. Every plan can hold any number of sites.
#The Websites list
Each row shows a thumbnail, whether the site is live and since when, the visitors of the last 7 days, and unread messages. Choose list or grid view.
| Control | Options |
|---|---|
| Filter | All websites, Live, Drafts, Starred |
| Sort | Last edited, name, visitors. Drafts always sort last on visitors. |
| Search | Search your sites |
| Create website | Opens the home page prompt box, where you describe a new site. See Generate a site from a prompt. |
#The row menu
| Item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Open | Opens the site's own dashboard pages. |
| Edit site | Opens the editor. |
| View live | Opens the live address in a new tab. Shown only for a live site. |
| Analytics | Opens that site's Analytics. Shown only for a live site. |
| Copy link | Copies the live address. Shown only for a live site. |
| Star / Unstar | Adds or removes the site from the Starred filter. |
| Duplicate | Makes a copy as a new draft and shows "Made a copy of <name>" with an Open button. |
| Delete | Asks for confirmation first. A live site's dialog says "This takes <address> offline immediately. This cannot be undone." A draft's says "This action cannot be undone. The project and all its data will be permanently removed." The button reads Delete website. |
#Draft and live
A site is a draft until you publish it (see Publishing). Opening a site shows a panel of pages that belong to that one site, with a link back to all websites and a switcher for other sites.
| Section | Contains | On a draft site |
|---|---|---|
| Home | Your site in a frame, a last-30-days card, a six-step checklist and your latest messages. | Works |
| Website | Editor, Versions, Custom code. | Works |
| Store | Products (managed in the editor) and Orders. | Works |
| Content & Memberships | Posts, and Access, which locks the live site behind a password. | Posts work. Access asks you to publish first. |
| Scheduling | The site's booking link and booking requests from forms. | The booking link works. Requests arrive once the site is live. |
| Finance | The money overview. Orders, Payments and Payouts are sub-pages. | Overview works; the three sub-pages ask you to publish first |
| Donations | Paid and refunded donations. | Publish first |
| Invoicing & Pay Links | Invoices and pay links. | Publish first |
| Inbox and Contacts | Messages and people. | Publish first |
| Campaigns | Email campaigns, drafts, subscribers, segments, Automations and an SMS consent list. | Publish first |
| Analytics | Visits to this site. | Publish first |
| SEO and Marketing | Search and share appearance and redirects; sign-up pop-up, announcement bar, share kit, GA4 and Meta Pixel. | Publish first |
#The Home checklist
Site Home shows six steps: describe, publish, SEO, share, domain and message. Each links to where you do it. The Domain step leads to Domains, and the SEO step to SEO settings.
#Protect a live site with a password
A live site can ask every visitor for one shared password. The publish window offers only public access, so you set the password afterwards in the dashboard.
Step 1: Open the site's Access tab
Open the site, then Content & Memberships, then the Access tab. A draft shows "Publish <name> first" because the password protects the live site.
Step 2: Choose People with the password
The three choices are Everyone, People with the password and Members only. Members only stays unavailable until UOVA has switched on membership sign-in.
Step 3: Add a password
Type a password of at least 8 characters, type it again, and select Turn on password. You see "<address> asks for a password on every page".
Step 4: Check the live site
Visitors see a password page on every page of the site. A wrong entry shows "That password isn't right." The change reaches every visitor within a minute.
- Change password replaces it, and everyone must use the new one. Remove password opens the site to everyone again straight away.
- A visitor who enters the right password stays unlocked for 30 days on that device.
- After 10 wrong tries from one address in 10 minutes, the page says "Too many tries. Wait a few minutes, then try again."
- A password-protected site is excluded from search engines.
- The password covers the whole site. Page-level access is not available.
#Site settings
Site settings open as a full-screen overlay. Press the X or Esc to return.
| Pane | What it does |
|---|---|
| General | Rename the site (the display name, not the address), see its status, and switch the cookie banner on once published. Google Analytics and Meta Pixel load only after a visitor consents. There is no business-info form. |
| Domain | Lists <slug>.uova.io and your domains with a status dot, Check again and Make primary. Connecting, buying and renewing happen on the Domains page. A draft must be published first. |
| Code | Head code for verification tags and analytics. See Custom CSS, HTML blocks and head code. It needs a published address. |
| Versions | Compare and restore saved versions. See Versions and republishing. |
| Danger zone | Unpublish, or Delete website with a typed DELETE. See Unpublish or delete a site. |
#Limits
- No collaborators, team workspaces or roles. The editor has no team feature.
- No transfer of a site to another account. The editor has no transfer option.
- Renaming a site never changes its uova.io address.
- One password for the whole site, and no per-page locks.
Projects and Websites are one list now. The Projects address redirects to Websites.
Inbox, Contacts, Campaigns, Analytics and a few other pages work only once the site is live. Your content is not lost; they open after you publish.
No. UOVA has no shared workspaces or seats.
Yes, with one shared password on the Access tab of Content & Memberships. Visitors cannot be given separate logins today.
