Add elements
Add Elements is click to insert, not drag and drop. Click a card and UOVA places it in the selected container, after the selected element, or in the last section.
For the complete documentation index, see llms.txt. This page is also available as Markdown.
Open Add Elements in the icon rail. The panel starts with a UOVA AI button that opens the chat, then a search box ("Search elements..."), an Inserting into label and a list of categories. You click a card to insert it. Cards cannot be dragged onto the canvas, and layer rows cannot be dragged to reorder.
#Insert an element
Step 1: Choose where it goes
Select a section, container, columns, column or form to add inside it, select any other element to add after it, or select nothing to add to the page's last section.
Step 2: Open Add Elements
The Inserting into label names the target.
Step 3: Find the card
Search, or open a category: Quick Add, Blocks, Layout, Text, Media or Buttons. Search looks across all categories. "No elements found" means nothing matched.
Step 4: Click the card
The element is added and selected, and one undo step is saved.
Step 5: Move it
Use the quick-action row (Move up, Move down) or the Layers panel. See Layers, move, hide, duplicate, delete.
#What each card inserts
Several cards share one element, so the label is not always a different shape. This is what you actually get.
| Card | What is inserted |
|---|---|
| Section (Quick Add) | An empty white section, 80px of padding at the top and bottom and 200px minimum height |
| Container, Stack, Grid, Columns | Container is a column up to 1200px wide. Stack, Grid and Columns all insert the same empty two-column grid |
| Title, Heading | A heading reading "Your heading here" |
| Paragraph, Label | A paragraph reading "Add your text content here. Click to edit." |
| Button, Primary, Secondary | A black pill button reading "Get Started". The three cards insert the same button |
| Image, Video, Gallery (Quick Add and Media) | One image element with a placeholder photo. Video and Gallery here do not insert video or a gallery |
| Form | A form with Name, Email and Message fields |
| Spacer | An empty 48px-high gap |
| Block | What is inserted |
|---|---|
| 2 Columns, 3 Columns | Equal columns, each with a heading "Column title" and a paragraph |
| Card | A 360px-wide card with an image, "Card title", a short paragraph and a "Learn more" button |
| Feature row | An image beside "Feature headline", a paragraph and a "Learn more" button |
| CTA banner | A dark banner reading "Ready to get started?" with a "Get started" button |
| Stats | Three figures: "10k+" Happy customers, "4.9★" Average rating and "24/7" Support |
| Gallery (Blocks) | A grid of six image placeholders in three columns |
For a whole new section, use the Section card in Quick Add, which adds an empty section you then fill. To move, hide or delete a section that is already on the page, see Sections.
#Other ways to add
- The command palette (CmdK) can insert a heading, paragraph, button, image, section, container, columns, spacer, raw HTML block or form.
- The AI chat can add elements, wrap them in containers and apply a template section. See Edit with AI chat.
- Right-click a row in Layers and choose Add block inside to open this panel with that element as the target.
#Limits
- There is no drag from the sidebar onto the canvas.
- A blank page from scratch is not offered. You start from a generated site or a template, then add to it.
- On a template page, the navigation, footer and legal line stay pinned. New items cannot be placed above the navigation or below the footer.
#Common questions
No. Cards respond to a click only.
Into the page's last section.
Click the Section card in Quick Add. It adds an empty section for you to fill. You can also ask the AI chat to add one.
The Video and Gallery cards in Quick Add and Media insert one image element. To put video on an element, use the Media panel, the Content tab's Upload Media zone, or the AI chat.
