The UOVA badge, search engines and abuse reports
See which sites show the Made in UOVA badge, how published sites appear to search engines, and what the Report this site link on every site does.
For the complete documentation index, see llms.txt. This page is also available as Markdown.
#The Made in UOVA badge
Sites owned by a Free account show a floating Made in UOVA pill in the bottom-right corner. It links to uova.com. It is hidden for the owner of any paid plan. UOVA decides this each time a page is requested, so upgrading removes the badge without republishing. The badge does not appear in the editor or in the preview, and a page never shows more than one.
| What | Free | Paid plans |
|---|---|---|
| Publish a site | Yes | Yes |
| All templates and all models | Yes | Yes |
| Connect, buy or transfer a custom domain | No | Yes |
| Remove the Made in UOVA badge | No | Yes |
There is no per-site switch for the badge. Plan details are in How pricing works.
#The Report this site link
Every published site, on every plan, shows a small Report this site link in the bottom-left corner. It uses 11 px text and is faint until you hover over it. It is not shown in the editor or the preview. There is no setting to hide it, and a paid plan does not remove it.
The link opens UOVA's report form at www.uova.com/report-abuse with the page address and site name already filled in. No account is needed, and the reporter can stay anonymous.

#Content checks at publish time
A moderation blocklist can refuse a publish. When it does, the wizard shows Publish failed (CONTENT_POLICY) and the site stays unpublished. A few addresses are also reserved for UOVA, which the wizard reports as Publish failed (RESERVED_SLUG) (see Your uova.io address).
#Search engines and published sites
- Pages are indexable (
index, follow) by default. - Pages are marked noindex when the site is a draft, for any page you hide with Hide from search engines, for password-protected sites, and for "Page not found" and "Site not found" pages.
- Each site serves its own
robots.txtandsitemap.xml, using your primary custom domain when you have one. A draft'srobots.txtdisallows everything and its sitemap is a 404. Both files are cached for about an hour. - UOVA does not ping search engines when you publish.
- Verification meta tags for Google, Bing and others go in Site settings > Code.
- The share card and favicon are generated for the site when you upload none, and a title never has "| UOVA" added.
Per-page fields (title, description, social image, canonical, noindex) are described in SEO settings.
#Limits
- Badge: no per-site toggle. It follows the owner's plan.
- Report link: always present on a published site.
- This page does not describe how UOVA handles a report after it is sent. See Terms of service for the rules that apply to published sites.
It is decided on each page request, so it should disappear without a republish. Reload the page first, since your browser may hold the old page. If it stays, contact UOVA through Help & Support.
No. It is on every published site on every plan.
Pages are indexable by default, and each site has a sitemap. UOVA does not notify search engines when you publish. A verification tag in Site settings > Code lets you register the site with a search engine's own tools.
Open the site, use its Report this site link, choose a reason and describe what you saw. You can also open www.uova.com/report-abuse and paste the page address.
