Tips and tricks
Practical ways to get better results and spend fewer credits, each backed by how UOVA actually works: prompts, the editor, publishing, the dashboard and Studio.

#Generate with more of the right facts
- Fill in the + Add tray. Business name, where you work, phone, hours, what you do, a logo and your own photos go into the build. Facts you leave out become "Add your …" lines. See Generate a site from a prompt.
- Attach your own photos. Up to 20 per upload, 10 MB per image. Photos are analysed only when you are signed in.
- Paste one reference link. A website or Google listing is read for facts only, once, and a failure never fails the build.
- Name the language. Writing "in Portuguese" settles it. Unclear prompts default to English.
- Choose a design on purpose. The generator picks the template. If the look matters, start with Use Template instead. See Start from a template.
#Edit with less effort
- Save a version before a big change. Versions come only from Save a version and the snapshot taken before a restore. Publishing does not create one. See Undo, autosave and version history.
- Use Responsive preview. Edit Tablet and Mobile on their own. See Responsive preview.
- Know what the chat costs. An AI chat message is 6, 12 or 30 credits, and one turn is one undo step. See Edit with AI chat.
- Learn the shortcuts. One table covers every editor shortcut. See Keyboard shortcuts.
#Publish with fewer surprises
- Pick the address carefully. It cannot be edited after the first publish. See Your uova.io address.
- Replace the template's name everywhere. A template-based site cannot go live while visible copy still names the template's showcase brand.
- Check the Inbox after publishing. Form messages arrive in the Inbox even when the email notice is capped. See Inbox and form messages.
- Protect a site with a password if needed. Once the site is live, open it in the dashboard, then Content & Memberships, then Access. One shared password of at least 8 characters covers the whole site, and a locked site is hidden from search engines. See Your sites and projects.
- Add a booking link. Paste a Cal.com, Calendly or Square Appointments link in Project settings > Booking (or Scheduling in the dashboard) to put a Book section on the site. Requests made through your site's forms are listed under Scheduling.
#Move around the dashboard
- Press CmdK (or CtrlK) for the command palette and
?for the shortcut sheet. - Press
gthen a letter within 1.2 seconds:g wWebsites,g dDomains,g aAnalytics,g iInbox,g cContacts,g mMedia,g tTemplates,g sAccount settings. - Press Cmd\ (or Ctrl\) to collapse the left panel to icons and back.
- In the Inbox,
jandkmove between messages, etoggles read and#deletes after a confirm.
#Spend credits well
- Test cheap, then spend. The cheapest image model is Z-Image Turbo, at 6 credits for 16:9 or 9:16, 8 for 4:3 or 3:4 and 11 for 1:1. It takes text prompts only, so try a prompt there before an expensive model. See Prompting in Studio.
- Mind Count. The price on Generate is the model's price multiplied by Count.
- Use Auto in the Lock-in agent. Auto is free for the first 50 messages a UTC day, then 5 credits. See The Lock-in agent.
- Buy a pack for a one-off spike. Pack credits never expire. Monthly credits do not roll over. See Buy more credits.
- Read the price first. Studio shows the live price on Generate and the Lock-in agent shows each proposal's price in Ask mode.
